The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the legal notice (Impressum) of this website.
How is your data collected?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to me, e.g. via the contact form. Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or the time the page was accessed).
What is your data used for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used for statistical analysis of user behaviour — your IP address is not stored in plain text, but hashed with a daily rotating key (see „Reach analysis“ below).
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, as well as a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
This website is hosted with a German hosting provider (Strato AG / IONOS SE). When you visit this website, the hosting provider records various log files including your IP address for the purpose of technically secure provision and defence against attacks.
You can find further information in the providers‘ privacy policies: strato.de/datenschutz and ionos.de/datenschutz.
The hosting provider is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of our website possible. A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag, AVV) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
The operator of these pages takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Alon
Email: info@alonreviews.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data.
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The right to lodge a complaint applies without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free access to your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time: info@alonreviews.de.
Our reach analysis (see below) processes exclusively pseudonymised data, which is newly hashed every day. I am technically not able to identify individual persons on the basis of the stored data records. If you request access to or erasure of your data specifically, please provide the date, approximate time, browser and approximate IP address so that I can try to assign the corresponding data record. If this is not possible, Articles 15-22 do not apply to this data pursuant to Art. 11(2) GDPR.
If you send me enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form (name, email address, type of cooperation, message) will be sent by email to info@alonreviews.de for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The data is stored in my email inbox. I do not pass on this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on my legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to me (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To protect against automated spam enquiries, a hashed value of your IP address is stored for a short time (one hour), which serves exclusively to limit the frequency of enquiries. It is not possible to trace this back to you personally.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with me until you ask me to delete it, you withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to me. These are:
This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of their website. Storage period: a maximum of 14 days, after which it is automatically deleted at the hosting provider.
This website uses its own, self-hosted reach analysis, which works without cookies and without transmitting data to third parties. Only the following is recorded:
Pseudonymisation: Instead of your IP address, a 16-character hash is stored, which is calculated from the IP, browser identifier and a daily rotating key. The hash is not reversible — it cannot be traced back to your IP or to you personally. The key rotates at midnight, so a returning visitor receives a different hash the next day.
Storage period: The tracking records are automatically deleted after a maximum of 14 months (daily cleanup cron job).
Purpose: Statistical evaluation of reach, identification of popular content, optimisation of the site structure. The data is not passed on to third parties.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in optimising the offering). Since no cookies or comparable storage or access operations take place on your terminal device, in our view no consent pursuant to § 25 TTDSG is required. You can object to the processing at any time at info@alonreviews.de.
This website embeds fonts („Inter“ and „Space Grotesk“) via the privacy-friendly font service Bunny Fonts. The provider is BunnyWay d.o.o., Cesta komandanta Staneta 4A, 4290 Tržič, Slovenia.
When you access a subpage, fonts are loaded from the servers of Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net). To do this, your browser automatically transmits your IP address and user agent to Bunny. According to the provider, this data is not used for tracking purposes and is not linked to other data sources; Bunny Fonts does not use cookies.
Privacy policy of Bunny Fonts: bunny.net/privacy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a uniform, high-performance and data protection compliant presentation of fonts). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with BunnyWay.
On some subpages, YouTube videos are embedded using the so-called two-click procedure. When the page is first accessed, no data is transmitted to YouTube — you only see a preview image cached locally on my server.
The connection to YouTube is only established once you click on the preview image. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The more privacy-friendly domain youtube-nocookie.com is used, which according to Google only sets cookies and transmits data after the click. As soon as you click, your IP address, browser information and visited URLs, among other things, are transmitted to Google — even if you do not have a YouTube account or are not logged in.
By clicking, you consent to this data transfer (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). More information: policies.google.com/privacy.
The preview images are downloaded once from the YouTube CDN (i.ytimg.com) to my server and delivered locally. When the preview is displayed, no connection to YouTube is therefore established.
This website contains links to the social networks YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitch. These links are implemented as simple hyperlinks. As a result, no data is transmitted to the operators of the social networks when you access my website. Only when you click on one of the links are you forwarded to the respective platform, and their privacy policies then apply.
I participate in the partner programme of Amazon EU (Amazon PartnerNet). Advertisements and links to the Amazon.de site are embedded on my pages by Amazon, from which I can earn a commission on advertising costs. For this purpose, Amazon uses cookies in order to be able to trace the origin of orders — however, these cookies are only set after a click on an Amazon link, not already when my page is accessed.
The use of Amazon affiliate links serves the interest of an appealing presentation of my online offerings and constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
You can find more information on the use of data by Amazon in Amazon’s privacy policy: amazon.de/datenschutz.
To display live prices and availability information, I query the Amazon Creator API server-side. These queries take place exclusively between my server and Amazon — your data (IP, browser) is not transmitted to Amazon in the process. The price and availability data is cached daily on my side.
I reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to my services in the privacy policy. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
